[The Soo] Writing In-Person Sprint

if you’re near the Sault, some writing friends and I are hosting in-person writing sessions at the Bayliss where the focus will be to get words on a page and get to know other writers in the area. First Thursday of the month at 5:30 p.m. Starts September 3.
Details: A one-hour-long drop-in writing session once a month at the Bayliss.
- We envision the sessions being broken into three 20-minute sections:
- First section: 20-minutes for greetings, news, connection, etc.
- Second section: 20-minute writing sprint
- Third section: 20-minute writer’s choice (writing or revising sprint)
During the sprints, the host will set a timer for 20 minutes, and, during that time, everyone quietly writes or revises.
Note – The sessions will not include workshop, critique, feedback, craft talks, or lessons. The goal is simply to meet other writers and get words on pages.
